- We need to be thankful because we have victory in God.
2 Cor. 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in
Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us
in every place.

We need to thank God everyday for sending His Son to die on the
cross for our sins. God could have said, "Well people you messed
up so now you have to suffer the punishment for your sins and
be separated from me forever." God did not say that because God
loves us so very much that He did not want us to separated from
Him forever. That is why God sent His Son to come and die on the
cross for or sins.
- We need to give thanks in every situation in our lives.
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Does not matter what happens in your life, you need to give thanks.
Car breaks down -- give thanks because you have a car for transportation.
Many people do not have a car. Something breaks down in your home
-- thank God because there are people that do not have a home
to live in. Think you do not have enough food to eat -- thank
God for the food that you have, there are people that go hungry
every day because they have no food at all. There are many other
examples that you can think of that happen in your life. Be thankful
for what you have because if you truly take the time to look around
you, you will see people that have situations in their life that
is a lot worse than you or I have.
Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name
of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Everything that we do in our daily lives, everything that we say,
we are to do it in the name of the Lord and give thanks because
God gave us the ability to do different things.
1 Thess. 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will
of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
God wants us to be thankful to Him for what He has given to us.
Are you thankful for the things that God has given to you? If
not, why not? Remember God has the power to give things to us,
and He has the power to take things away from us.
Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked
shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken
away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
